County Child Care Assistance

We have worked with all of the counties in the Twin Cities (and several out) in accepting their Child Care Assistance Programs (CCAP). If we are already registered as a provider in the county from which you receive assistance, the process of getting authorized for care is generally fairly quick. If you receive assistance from a Minnesota county in which we are not currently registered as a provider, we will be happy to register as a provider with them.

In the registration, there is a section to complete if you receive or expect to receive assistance. Please read this section carefully as there is a lot of information.

If you receive county childcare assistance, your invoices will be sent toward the beginning of your bi-weekly service period and your co-pay will be due by the last day of the service period.

The registration fee must be paid at the time of registration. If your registration is received prior to May 1, your registration fee will be applied to your co-pays, any additional fees (late pickup fees, schedule change fees, etc), or any amount that the county doesn't pay. If, at the end of the season (summer or school year), any remainder of the registration fee remains, it will be refunded to you. If your registration is received after May 1, we will attempt to bill the county on the first invoice of the new season for the fee and reimburse you if they pay. Should you decide not to use care with us, the fee is not refundable.

Our weekly rate in the summer may be higher than what the county is willing to pay. If you sign up for weekly care, you will be responsible for paying any amount the county won’t cover with your co-pays.

Youth Enrichment Policies

Confirmation

Confirmation is by email only when you register. You will be notified when a class is filled, canceled, or rescheduled.

Cancellations/Refunds

North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale Community Education reserves the right to cancel classes due to lack of enrollment or in the event of emergencies. The option to transfer to another class will be given or a refund/credit will be issued.

Cancellation requests must be made 1 week prior to the start of the class or by the registration deadline indicated. No refunds will be given after a class has started. A processing fee of $10 per class will be deducted from your refund. Class supplies or tickets that have been purchased or committed to are non-refundable regardless of the cancellation date.

Refunds/credits cannot be given for forgotten classes—please remind your child about class dates.

Closings Due to Weather

In case of bad weather, tune in to local radio/television stations, or check the district's website for the most current updates. Classes are not held when school is closed due to weather.

Drop-off/Pick-up

Parents/guardians must sign children in and out for non-school day programs. For after-school classes, please indicate on the registration what your child will do after class, and who is authorized to pick them up.

Emergency

Program staff will take whatever emergency measures are judged necessary for the care and protection of the participant while under their supervision. In case of an emergency, the participant will be transported to an appropriate medical facility by the local emergency unit for treatment, if the local emergency resources deem it necessary. It is understood that in some medical situations the staff will need to contact local emergency resources before the parent/guardian or emergency contact is notified. I understand that any expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the participant/participant’s family.

Participation Disclaimer

There is an inherent risk of accident or injury in any activity. It is the responsibility of the parent to be aware that there are assumed risks in participation. ISD 622 assumes no responsibility for injuries received during activities. Any changes in participant’s activity level should be done under the approval and direction of their physician and/or health care provider(s).

Photos of Students

Student pictures and identifying names will be included in school publications and may be given to the local media. However, any student or parent may request that photos not be published. This request does not cover pictures taken at public school events by the news media or the district Communications office. The Communications office works directly with school administrators to respect parents’ requests to keep their children’s photographs from appearing in district publications, but cannot guarantee that their child’s images do not appear in photographs or videos done by local media.

*If you do not want your child photographed, please let your school principal know in writing. This must be done every year.
