My heart is overflowing with joy. When I was a kid, my birthday was a typical one-day celebration. As I grew older, that day became an annual weekend-long celebration a/k/a "Mila-fest (Insert Year)". The last few years have been full month activities (don't judge me🤣). Passion projects, volunteering, and spending quality time with the people that matter most are all a part of the "Month of Mila" mood. It's a vibe!For every call, text, DM, or meal that we've shared to celebrate - I thank you. It's going to be another fun one around the sun🌞. Thank you, Mia Poinsette, for the invitation to attend the Legacy of Excellence: Phenomenal Black Women in Central Florida Exhibit ribbon cutting ceremony.Last night, I was surrounded by trailblazers. 41 extraordinary women were honored for their contributions to the Central Florida community. It was inspiring to see them get the recognition that they so richly deserve. The community showed up to support and celebrate which filled the space with an immense amount of pride. The spoken word and prayer moved everyone deeply. 🙏🏽 🙌🏽 You just had to be there to experience the power and magic of the evening. Presented by the African American Women's History Month Project, Inc. and The Poinsette Foundation, visit the Girl Scouts of Citrus where their images and their accomplishments will be on display in the exhibit hall through April 30th. #beautiful #brilliant #bold #Black #bosses

2023 Reflection: 🌟 Last year was truly an extraordinary season of change for me. Filled with unforgettable moments, both personally and professionally, I am energized entering into 2024. My cup is overflowing, and as they say, to whom much is given, much is required. In the year ahead I'll be doubling down on prioritizing self-care and being present for my family (non-negotiable!).
